Message from the Congress President

The European Hematology Association invites you to its 14th Congress in Berlin 2009. Our objective is to stimulate progress and promote cooperation in hematology across Europe. Berlin symbolizes the new Europe. Its infrastructure and flair will make your participation an enjoyable experience. The broad program and Berlin as congress site will advance European integration and the wellbeing of our patients.

Venue

The International Congress Center, ICC Berlin, is looking forward to welcoming the delegates of the 14th Congress of the EHA in 2009. Renowned worldwide for its extraordinary architecture, the ICC Berlin is Europe’s largest convention center. It is situated in the west of Berlin, very close to the traditional city center and the Kurfürstendamm, where many hotels are located as well as shops, restaurants and entertainment. The ICC Berlin is well served by the city transport networks and has direct bus and underground links to the city center. Berlin’s International Airport “Tegel” is a 10 minute drive from the ICC.

Description of congress

The 14th Congress of the EHA will provide a comprehensive program for clinical and basic hematologists. Important information will be offered in education, scientific, controversial and poster sessions. The Scientific Program Committee will ensure high quality presentations from internationally renowned specialists. Selected topics and presentations will reflect state-of-the-art developments in all fields of hematology.

Exhibition

A large commercial exhibition of pharmaceutical items and technical equipment will be organized at the congress location.

Website

The congress section of the EHA website: www.ehaweb.org will be regularly updated with information regarding the congress and its program. As of January 2009 this website will enable participants to register and to submit abstracts.
