Public Transport Ticket

A 5-day public transport ticket is included in your registration package. This ticket is valid from Wednesday, June 6 until Sunday, June 10 and allows you to use all public transport (tram, bus and underground) within Vienna.

NEW THIS YEAR: EHA SHUTTLE SERVICE

In addition to the free public transport that is included in the registration fee, EHA has, this year for the first time, a shuttle bus service for all its delegates. From fixed meeting points in Vienna, buses will bring you to the Neue Messe and back. This service is provided from Thursday, June 7 until Sunday, June 10. Buses will run every morning before the congress program starts and again in the afternoon when the program ends.

In your registration package you can find a public transport map of Vienna, including detailed information about the EHA shuttle service. This map is specially made for the participants of the 12th Congress. It gives you information about the different public transport lines and in detail the location of the EHA shuttle bus meeting points (including time table) and EHA hotels.

Thursday, June 7: from 06:45 until 09:00 - every 15 minutes
Friday, June 8: from 06:15 until 09:00 - every 15 minutes
Saturday, June 9: from 06:15 until 09:00 - every 15 minutes
Sunday, June 10: from 07:15 until 09:00 - every 15 minutes

Transportation

Wien-Schwechat, Vienna's main international airport, is only 15 km from the Neue Messe Vienna. Vienna offers an extensive travel network by underground, tram and bus. Tickets are sold from dispensers, ticket counters or at tobacco kiosks.

How to get to Vienna city center from the airport

CAT

The most comfortable way to get to the city from the airport is the non stop City Airport Train (CAT) direct to the City Air Terminal (Wien Mitte) within 16 minutes. From here you can continue your trip by underground. The fare for the CAT one way is € 9.

BUS

You can also take the frequent bus connection to the city center. Take the bus (Vienna Airport Services) to Vienna Schwedenplatz (underground lines U1 and U4). Buses leave from the airport (outside the arrivals hall) and the traveling time is about 20 minutes. The fare for the bus one way to the city center is € 6.

TAXI

Taxis are available in front of the airport arrival building. A transfer to the city by shuttle can also be arranged in the airport arrival hall. A taxi from the airport to the city center costs approximately € 30 per trip and takes about 20 minutes

TRAIN

In Vienna there are two major train stations. There is the train station west (Westbahnhof) and the train station south (Suedbahnhof). From both stations you have access to the underground to get to the city center.

How to get to Neue Messe Vienna

UNDERGROUND

To get to the Neue Messe you should use the U1 underground line. Get out at station “Praterstern / Wien Nord”, from there take tram line 21 which will stop at the Neue Messe Wien.

CAR

There are motorways leading to Vienna from all directions. Take the "Stadt-Autobahn, the A23 motorway, to the exit "Handelskai/Messezentrum". There is parking for 4,500 vehicles conveniently situated next to the Neue Messe.

TAXI

From the city center (State Opera) a taxi can bring you in approximately 15 minutes to the Neue Messe, this will cost around € 15.

Taxi Service

Taxis in Austria are usually very reliable. Taxis are always waiting outside the Airport arrival hall, no pre-bookings are required. If you are looking for taxis in the city center you may stop a taxi on the road, take one from the numerous taxi stands or call one of the following numbers: +43 1 60160

Make sure that you request airport rates especially when traveling from the city center to the airport.

Car Parking

There are two parking possibilities at the Neue Messe. There is an underground parking place, follow the signs “Car Park Congress” and a bigger parking garage outside the venue next to the Austria Trend Hotel Messe Wien. To get to this garage please follow the signs ”Car Park A”. Parking fees, to be paid at the cash machines in the parking area, are as follows: first 1,5 hour: € 2,40, per each additional 0,5 hour: € 0,80
